Who Is SmokeDream
SmokeDream is a band originally made up of Rocky T. Duckworth of Sylvester Ga. & Nashville, TN., Allen Poole of Sylvester GA., Tim Tucker of Sylvester & Columbus GA.,and Billy Britt of Ashburn & Rome GA.
Since parting ways in 1978, the band members have worked on the road with artists including Ringo Starr, Edgar Winters, Gary Wright, Colin Haye, Stuart Hamm, Jeff Bates, Molly Hatchet, and Doctor Hook, as well as recorded original material.
Jim Baker, Sound Technician, from Ashburn & Cornelia,GA. is the sound engineer for SmokeDream. Jim has experience as road manager for Molly Hatchett, and also runs sound for Country recording artist John Berry.
Stage Management for SmokeDream is Terry Oliver of Sylvester, GA.. Terry brings years of experience from his work throughout the country and around the world with John Berry.
SmokeDream realizes the need for music arts and education in the Southwest Georgia area and hopes to build on this by hosting yearly events at the Sumner Auditorium in Sumner GA. on the 2nd Saturday of March each year.
Future Concerts
SmokeDream was asked to have the concert again next year. The members instantly agreed.
SmokeDream wants the concert to stay in the Sumner Auditorium and discussed having an event the 2nd Saturday of every March with the next concert scheduled on March 13, 2010.
SmokeDream would also like to give special thanks to:
Concert Coordinator Dona Duckworth; Sumner City Clerk, Bonnie Hurst Walker; Sumner Mayor, Charlie Hall; and the residents of Sumner, GA. for their hospitality. Thanks to all who worked so hard over the past year to make the concert a success and to all who attended.
